In-Home Consultation
A Artistik Remodeling Solutions project leader will meet with you at home to discuss in detail the scope of your project and your goals. This free, no obligation meeting takes approximately 1-2 hours.
At this time, we may take site measurements and photos of the rooms to be remodeled. This is also a good time to ask questions about how the remodeling process works.
Proposal/Bid
At Artistik Remodeling Solutions, we utilize your ideas and the specifications taken from the in-home visit to prepare a written proposal with recommendations and a personalized outline of the options available to you for your project. This is our formal bid for your home remodeling project, and it contains a timeline and budget to meet your goals.
Selection/Pre-Construction
Upon selection of Artistik Remodeling Solutions as your remodeling contractor, we will assign a project leader who will review the work plan and timeline with you, so you know what to expect. We will secure all proper permits, and once your plans are approved, the next step will be to enter into a construction contract so that work on your home remodeling project can begin.
The contract describes the scope of the job, including the project start date, estimated completion date, cost of the job, and the specific materials to be used (quantity, color, size, quality, brand name, etc). The contract also includes fee structure, payment arrangements, and conditions for final payment.
Construction
With Artistik Remodeling Solutions, you will receive individual attention both on-site at your home remodeling project and in the office from start to finish. Communication is the key to completing a quality, on-time project to your specifications.
Construction begins after details of your home remodeling project are confirmed during an on-site walk-through of the area to be remodeled. Items covered include identifying areas that need to be cleared or protected, approved hours of construction, home security, and the need for temporary facilities for kitchen and bath functions when remodeling begins.
Protective covers to flooring and plastic barriers are always installed to minimize any inconveniences of construction. A clean job site is a safe job site not only for workers but for homeowners and families as well. We will ensure that your project is clean on a daily basis as well as at the completion of the remodeling project.
Change Orders
Any change to the scope of your project is properly handled with a written change order. Change orders can arise from a building official’s request or simply at the home owner’s discretion.
Change orders are considered addendums to the construction contract and may affect the project completion date.
Post-Construction
When your project nears completion, the project leader conducts a walk-through with you to identify any outstanding tasks. A final checklist is compiled and reviewed with you. Once all items on this final checklist have been completed, it is reviewed again and signed by both parties.
At this time we may ask for your permission to take photographs for our Gallery. We are proud of our finished projects, and we rely on your referrals.
